K11 locks

Hi, does anyone know in the driver and front passenger locks on a K11 (no central locking) are interchangable? reason is drivers lock barrell has had it but passenger door is fine. We have to unlock passenger door to open driver door from inside. I have seen posts to say you can do this to other cars but not sure if you can do it with a Micra K11 and Haynes manual does not state they are interchangeable. Can anyone advise?

you should be swoppable, but the key will most likely turn the other way once done. take the door card off, and use a set of pliers to pull the retaining tab from the back of the lock. disconnect the locking rods from the mechanism and take it round to the other door.
