K11 Gearbox and Flywheel 1.3 to 1.0 Question

Hi everyone,

I'm off to pick up a 1.0l gearbox in the next few days for my 1998 1.3 dizzy micra.

i know i need a 1l gearbox from 1998 to 2000 (1.0l dizzy facelift), but are there any obvious ways of telling that the gearbox is indeed the one i want when i go to collect? i'm buying it on its own without seeing the car.

I'm also going for a 1l flywheel, am i right in thinking that if its a 1.0l 180mm flywheel then it will fit my engine?

the preface 1.0 box has no oil level plug
1st facelift has a square one, and electric speed sensor
coilpack has a hex one, and a crank sensor mount
and yes 180mm

thanks for the replies. will my 98 prefacelift 1.3 have an electric speed sensor, is it just a straight swap? If not is there anything i need to buy to make the swap work? cheers

cable speedo on preface, paul (pollyp) said the drive hole is a slightly different size iirc

Also before i buy the replacement gearbox, i know the 1.0l gearbox improves 0-60 time, but i'm really looking to improve my 30-70 time. will changing to 1.0l gearbox help this?

The mechanical pickup is bout 0.5mm bigger than the electronic pickup. Either machine or sand it slightly smaller on a lathe or carefully hand file it smaller till it fits in the smaller hole
