I think fronts are discs on the 1999 K11 are rears drums?

A car that has covered, say 40,000 miles from new, how often should you change discs / pads and drums.

Lets assume the car has not had a very harsh life, just used to potter about to shops etc.

the drums and shoes often outlast the car, and most cars have about 3 disc/pad changes during it,s lifetime :)

Take off the wheel. Unbolt the 2 bolts that hold the caliper to the caliper bracket. Replace the pads. Then bolt everything back again.

For the discs, take off the bracket, then the disc should just pull off.
