K11 aftermarket gear knob

Hello, I know this may seem like a rookie question but I wanted to change my gear knob since it's very old (image 1) and when I remove it I was hoping to find a screw/unscrew type but It seems like it's more of a fit in type like in the second image. How can I fit an aftermarket gear knob?
