K11 1997 Radio compatibility

Hello all,
New to the site & impressed by the level of camaraderie here.
We have a 1997 K11 but the radio is shot! Currently looking for a replacement (original Nissan)...but wondered if any later model K11 radios also fit (mechanically & electrically)
Ours is the one in the photo.

According to the Haynes workshop manual the radios can not be changed from Micra to Micra due to the Nats system....fit an aftermarket one instead...BUT I will stand correct if I am wrong

Thanks for that reply Dave.
Could easily fit an aftermarket radio, but concerned it could so easily be stolen. Thieves rarely break into Micras just for the 'factory fit' radio! So, currently on the lookout for a good K11 radio ....but wanted to know what options I had.

Look for a 'Blau Punkt' one, (serial number starts with 'BP' then 12 digits) cheap because it has no code and I'll decode it for you

No problems Paul, try 5045, or if that fails 1045
