did you find out about the passes i dont wanna turn up and them not let me get to the stand without a pass.

it'l end up just like billing!! people paying different rates at the gates, regardless of club entry or not lol. At the end of the day, they'l see what you're driving - probably laugh being a micra lol - then let ya in

I wouldnt worry about it too much :)

Okay, I've designed the stand passes, and I'm just thinking of the best way to distribute them.

They look like this:

(Only without VOID stamped across them ;))

U dont need stand passes dude, all u do is go in, pay ur money and ask for which stand ur on. If anyone comes to the stand u ask them for membership up front if they arent signed up, or u ask them to leave and notify security.

At the recent meeting with Club Representatives we discussed entry into the East of England Showground and how we would identify legitimate car club members as opposed to the general public trying to gate-crash.

Firstly, we recognise we want to hlep the car clubs and encouraging new people to the show is a good way of recruiting new members. However, we don't want to attrcat any rogue element that is likely to spoil the show or cause any problems. As a result we went through a series of options at the meeting and agreed to consider all of them before making a decision. The ideas we ooked at and our thoughts on them are as follows:

1) Allow people to enter if they show a valid club membership card (or similar).
Noty all clubs have membership cards and to have the gate staff learn over 100 types is not practical.
2) Produce passes to be posted out for clubs to distribute
Anyone who has been to any of the other big shows will know what a headache this is to manage.
3) Produce passes which can be downloaded on-line through club passwords.
Not all clubs are internet based and getting the password distibuted may not be possible for eeryone
4) Ask all club t submit a list of cars in advance
- You gotta be kidding right?
5) Do nothing. Only allow Japanese cars in and direct them to the appropriate stand. Anyone not associated with a club can be redirected to the general car park
We may end up with a few "wrong uns" but it would seem to fit the bill in maiking acess easy and also in encouraging new people to join. However, this requires the help and support of ALL car clubs. If you see a car parked where it should not be please let security know. if you see someone trying to park where they should not, stop them and ask them to move/leave, failing that call security. Any car arriving on your stand uninvited is to be either welcomed to join/stay or should bescorted to the exit. Please do not pass them off to anywhere/somewhere else

In conclusion we have decioded that the final option is the best one.
Can we ask for your cooperation in this and your support in making JAE a great event, fun and safe?

Thank you
John

Yeah but it looks good, and makes us look like the organised club we are :)

Plus it can also be used as a name tag, lol
