JAE 2013 - Early Warning / Discussion Thread! (NB: DATE CHANGE!)

Hi all,

I know we're all still reminiscing about JAE 2012, a mere 2 weeks ago but this is just a sticky thread to get you prepared for next year.

JAE 2013 will be a 4 day event! We're getting closer to the fabled week-long JAE! ;)

Here are the dates for your diary (and your boss!):
Thursday 12th - Sunday 15th September 2013

Get them booked off now! I promise you the MSC at JAE will be bigger and better than last year!!! :)

Yes it's me, and I was very f'ed.

This was 2009, and I really don't remember much of that night. My old flatmate had come along with me (that's him in the background with his hand to his face) and he was a massively bad influence on me that night!

In fact, this may have played a part in it too:

I will try to be there, no guarantee I'll have the car ready though. Since I will only have relocated back to the UK by June, it doesn't give much time to get much in the way of roots down and build the car up, do the necessary shakedowns, get it tax'd, tested etc in 3 months. The engine will be ready in about a month so, on a positive note, it will be mostly an assembly job. Will be very much a case of seeing how it goes......

Also won't be drinking either :cool:

Good drinking is bad!

Why you relocated to england? Did you come from here to start? where you going to be living?

In general yes but the reason for not drinking is because I am currently recovering from a very serious neurological spinal decompression bend that happened on my last diving holiday. I wont know how alcohol effects my physiology until I am fully recovered, (which can be up to 1-2years after injury), so I may have to watch what I drink quite carefully in future :confused:

I'm currently in Norway on a 2 year contract, which is up next April. Yeah, I am British. Will be relocating back to London, (Surrey area).

There wont be time for trips to POD within that time frame sadly Frank. I will be pushing things as they are to even get the car on the road by then, especially given the above unfortunate injury. I am quite incapacitated at present and also grounded from air travel until further notice due to the hypoxic risks of commercial air travel. So no probable sneaky trips for tinkering on the cards this year :(

I'll get there at some point I'm sure ;)
 
I'm new here but I will most likely come If I still have my K11 (lol I'm saying that when I've not even bought it yet) hopefully this time next year I will be better known here and have made a few friends.


In August I'm going to the BMC motor show with my mate with a 69's Morris minor and I can take him to see you guys the next month
 
hopefully il be down in the mera and if the misses has a micra by then il get my mate to drive the micra as the misses and baby wont camp out so shall dump at my parents and have a drink fuelled 4 days :)

It's payoor crap ken! If you found us a little hard to understand in any way, there's some scottish folk that I can't understand. The rest of the world has no chance with these people lol
