Hi, please help. I am trying to fit an aftermarket stereo (Sony) to my g/f's 2002 (old shape) Micra Vibe. I have the ISO adaptor for 'all nissan' PC2-13-4 and I have removed the old unit.

If I simply plug in the iso connector and hook the new stereo up I get nothing. After trawling the forums I have read some solutions to other users problems but I am still none the wiser.

Can anyone tell me what colour wires do what on the Micra. I may be able to work it out from there. I seem to have wires for 4 speakers even though there are only two in the car. I also have (in the bigger nissan block) a red, yellow and blue wire. I just dont know whats for what.

Its getting dark now :(

Thanks very much

Otherwise try swapping the red and yellow wires around on the headunit loom, and make sure you have the ignition on before trying to get it working!!!

i have sony hu fitted myself...

sony give you bullet adapter to wire yellow and red in any desired combo...

as stated previosly ground black first...

secondly decide weather you want to power stereo while:

a: ign is on only... connect from stereo yellow and red to red from micra...
b: on regardless of ign(ie no keys)... connect both from stereo yell+red to yellow from micra.

test stereo...
blue is labled as power antenna or remote (leave hangin, this is for use with powering amplifier)

the greens and purples are for rear 6*9's...
the whites and greys are for front spkrs...

BLACK=GROUND
YELLOW=12V BATT+
RED=12V IGN
BLUE=POWER AMP

GREEN/PURPLE=REAR SPKRS
WHITE/GREY=FRONT SPKRS

HOPE THIS HELPS
