I thought I'd make a new thread for this question, rather than put it in my existing thread.
Is the fuse box by the driver's door earthed in any way? I've narrowed all my current electrical problems down to more or less everything on that fuse box! The bottom screw holding it in place is very loose and won't tighten up - it may be cross threaded. Is this likely to be a cause of any problems?
Also, is there a way to remove this fuse box without removing the whole dash? I can't get a good enough angle on the top two screws to undo them, and the only way I can see is to remove the whole dash. I have so far removed the tray under the steering wheel, the steering column plastic cover, and the instruments.
One final question. Before all this trouble started on Friday, when I had my sidelights on, there was a high pitched buzzing coming from near my feet. I've now found an orange box connected to a wire that was attached to the shelf by the driver's knees. Is that like a warning buzzer or something? If not, what does it do?
Sorry for the long post and lots of questions!!
