ok i have been browsing around for an insurance quote and have been looking for cheap insurance places

i am 18, havnt passed test yet but hoping to do so on the 7th december
micra k10 1.2

ok fully comp with direct line is £1400 for the year, although surely there has to be a cheaper place right?

I'm 18, 17 when i took out my policy. I'm paying 780 on my own name for TPF&T with Third Party only cover on any car loaned to me when i pass my test. I've got a 1.0 K11. I'm with Quinn. I'm doing my test on the ninth i think, good luck for yours.

money supermarket: £2000
asda car insurance: £2600

hmm starting to think insurance is really silly

Yeah im with quinn and the some how calculated that a 1.2 k10 insurance should be £100 more than a 1.0 x-reg k11. lol Suppose its probably down the k10's lack of security.

have you tried the post office,I got the cheapest insurance that I've ever had,£133 third party fire and theft, and then they sent me a £50 postal order!
even without the postal order it was half the price of my renewal from swinton.

fully comp on a k10 is pointless mate, if you stone chip the bonnet they will write it off id got 3rd party for the time being go fully comp when you have a car worth more dosh :)

I'm with budget and im paying £1500 on a micra K10 1.0 K reg, Can i get it cheaper!!!!! im 18, i think its cos i live in nottingham, cos they have different rates for post codes e.g. ng10 = higher car theft and vandalism than me14

insurance

I'm sure there is a specialist company for younger drivers. I can't see why they'd charge so much unless you live in a bad postal code.

Do an internet search for it as you'll find most of the major companies don't want young drivers for whatever reason they just want over 30's with 100 years bonus and no claims in a century especailly Norwich Union.

confused.com

quoteacar.com - really cheap for me, they would insure me on a uno turbo cheaper than my micra!

lol i live in a small quiet village down south
i will go for 3rd party, although with direct line the difference is literally like £100

My first policy was with Tesco, and cost around £700. Give them a bell if you haven't done already

Unfortunately you're male and 18 and that's the kind of money you'll need to spend.

I put my details in with 3 years no accidents, and then put my fiancee's details in as if she had her license since yesterday, mine came back at about £900 and her's at £700

It is a joke, you've just got to suck it up, at the moment I'm paying £970 tpft on a 125 bike due to a driving ban, it's irritating but unfortunately there's no other option.

I would reccomend TP only IF you can accumulate NCB with this...and take as much care as you should thruought you driving life.....

after one year there is normally some decent releif

shop around after your first year too

consider doing a PASS PLUSS (if your license is younger than 1 year) costs around £100 but it saved me 20% discount! (and was VERY usefull course too)

I started on £1200 when I was 21 (provosional licence)

i`ve just bought a k10 for £200 and got a quote from e-car for £367.50 but my fist car was a 1 litre uno and that was around the £1300 mark. stupid money.
