Ignition switch

My fuel gauge and everything is staying on when I turn my ignition off (like it's still on 2 clicks) so I guess the switch is broken, Has anyone got a replacement part for this or know where I can get one. I want this fixed asap as my coil is being left on permanently.

It should have, can't just rely on the ignition barrel switch.

your ignition probably only draws about 10 watts, or 25 if the points happen to be closed
whereas 2 h/lights draw 120w, hence the need for a relay
but i,m not 100% sure you hav, nt got an ign relay

I have electronic ignition, mines a facelift.

ye i think its the relay, haynes says that everthin apart from the starter solenoid goes thru it. i think its one of them above the fuse box but im not too sure

assuming urs is a 1990 on model

Mines actually a 1989 but to confuse things it's a facelift, which is why I have such trouble with buying the wrong parts lol.

I'll just start randomly pulling relays til sommat good happens..
