How to open boot lock without power?

My wife has a 160 SR micra the boot won't unlock previously had this fixed at Nissan but cost a small fortune I know what's wrong it's the cable which has split from the car into the boot panel.

Question is how do I open the lock from inside when there is no power to it can this be manually triggered to allow it to open?

Once it open I will rewire all the cables.

I had a problem with the boot where the unlock button had failed and I had to buy one on EBay.

Well... I found out that you can open the boot from the inside if you first fold the rear seat and crawl in. There should be a white plastic thing that you can flip with a small screwdriver or something.
