How to fit Corsa B coilovers to a K11 Micra.

So when i was considering fitting Corsa B coilovers to my K11 Micra i couldn't really find any solid information.
There was a thread on here that looked like it used to be very helpful but the pictures were all missing due to Photobucket going down.
I asked on a few facebook groups and got about 20 different answers and couldn't believe there were no longer any decent solid threads on this anymore.
The one consistent thing i got told was don't use the Micra top mounts and use the Corsa B top mounts.
I went out and bought some Corsa B top mounts and actually to me they looked a lot more unsafe than using the Micra ones so i have devised a way to use the Corsa coilovers with the Micra top mounts.
I've gone through the whole fitment front to back in as much detail as possible and filmed it for you guys.
Here it is, hope it helps some of you out and if you have any questions please feel free to ask and i'll do my best to clear anything up.

Awesome guide and just curious cant we use the corsa b rear springs as well?

Hey guys.

I've removed the video as i've made some changes to the setup which have improved it significantly.
I've basically machined some spacers that help accommodate the original Micra strut top bearing and take the weight off the top mount.
I've tested it for about a month now and it's been perfect, i've had the front wheel alignment checked a couple of times in the last couple of weeks just to make sure nothing has moved and it all seems perfect.
I'm in the process of getting some more spacers machined so i can supply them for other people.
The ones i have i made by hand but it was a lot of hard work and they probably aren't as tidy as machined ones will be so when the machined batch is done i will remove mine and replace them with the machined ones and do another how to video on how to fit them along with a slight adjustment i made on the rear suspension as well which made a world of difference.
As for the Corsa springs they do not fit as they are far too short and they are also too narrow to fit in the spring seats, i will go over it properly when i remake the video :)

Here's a little video of me testing it on track a few weeks ago, the suspension was amazing. I have slightly bigger tyres on than i wanted due to there being limited sizes in the semi slicks so there is a bit of scrubbing which you can hear in the video but i have since made adjustments so the tyres clear the arches properly.

Hello guys

I've done test setup with Corsa Gewindewerke and I dont understand why you so hard choosing Micra top mount?

I've seen that many Corsa sets comes without top mounts, maybe thats the answer. But I've got used set with topmounts ,and its soo easy job. I decided to not drill another set of holes in body for Corsa top mount, but I relocated the bolts at corsas topmount to K11 pattern- they're press-fit like wheel studs (no photo, will make them soon for my blog thread)

Biggest question for me is why you preffer this plastic K11 bearing instead Corsa, metal one?

no isseues with steering etc.

Why fellas, why micra topmount? Some kind of important ,because I want to put mine set to the car soon

how do they differ from the micra ones? stiffness, height and handling wise?
want to upgrade mine on the trike as 2 up they its a little soft.
remember, what your calling front is the rear for me. I have a complete K11 front end at the back of the trike. going to be droping the 1.3 auto in very soon, I bought a donor car so if anyone needs bits give me a shout.

Trike- for short, after short tests- Im surprised that corsa setup is not rock-hard as I thought. BUT shocks have too short travel for me. I can feel when it reaches the absorber. Also Remember that Corsa Setup gives Huuge drop. Its around 100mm  (as seen at photo)

Thanks, after a couple of two up runs I think I need to stiffen standard height. Looking at Almera shocks, they do the main weight carrying whereas the front forks only stabilise the trike.
