How easy

How easy is it to replace my thermostat for my k11 ? My mechanic advised me not too on my 1998 k11 as it probably has its orignal from factory back in 1998 and I could break the housing joint etc. I would most likely to use wd40 on the bolts anyway before removing anything . Any advise on this subject would be helpful.

I did mine 2 years ago on my former preface lift, probably first time the bolts been undone after 25 years.
Why do people go for the WD40, there is so much better items out there!
Spray the bolts in plus gas, (if possible let it seep in for 24 hours), then with a decent socket set gently apply pressure, they should start uneasing.
I used a genuine Nissan replacement thermostat and Dirko gasket sealant, probably complete overkill, but replacement all went well!

Defo Plusgas costs a bit more but wow the difference! forget WD for this type of job!
