How do I get this out?

This switch cluster is what I'm talking about.....

There's no illumination, and also the Hazard light doesn't flash (but I don't know if the switch should flash).
Anyone? (Yes, I've tried prising it out with a screwdriver but it won't budge.)

You could try taking the clocks off and reaching behind. There are 2 clips 1 on each side i think

I've always used a flat screwdriver and prised it from the bottom..

yeah, I did try that but it didn't seem to budge. I'll try a wider bladed screwdriver next time.

Worst case rempve the dash. Its suprisingly easy especially if u drop the steering column

Take the silver cowl of the dials. 4 screws in the heather / fan controls take then out. Push that back an inch. You can get ur hand on the back of the hazard / screen heater then

I want to do that to get rid of the remaining soundproofing. Is there a How To on here? The Haynes Joke Book, er I mean Manual doesn't even give a clue!!

Removing the dash is real ease mate..there's 6 10mm bolts and a a few posi screws..I'm sure there will be a thread somewhere on here but it's so easy mate you should have no problem
