HK11 starting slow

I was hoping to get your advice.
My wife has a Nissan Micra 1996 HK11 1.3
I replaced the stereo in the car last week
It now takes a little time to tick over but when it starts it runs fine
Seems to start fine when it is warmer
I took out the fuse for the stereo but it did not change the problem
I replaced the battery but this does not seem to help
I checked the alternator is working and it appears to be charging the battery
The starter kicks in fine

Any other ideas?

So another piece in the puzzle. It starts fine when I have my foot slightly on the accelerator. Could this be a fuel pump issue?
