Hill climb/sprint group

Is there a group on here that attend sprints and/or hill climb events?
If not... Who would be up for it?
I think most events only take Clubs?

So are you part of a club?
Would be brilliant to have a few people from here entering them regularly!
What cars do you compete against? And what are the license requirements?

My car wont be on the road until November though :( thats when im swapping insurances and cars :(
Would you be interested in Hillclimb/Sprint events?

Yeh im in the Manx Motor Racing Club mate, have a read of the below its got all you'll need to know :)

Basically you will need a minium of a non race national b license... no test required you just apply for it

Then some FIA spec boots, gloves, helmet & race suit (usuall rule of just buy the best you can afford)

The UK have alot more classes for hillclimbs than my local event, im against everything from GT40's to Westfield Megbusa's!

I cannot recommend it enough if your after some fun competition!!

Its a very cost effective way of doing a bit of competition :) As far as i know the Uk classes start at up to 1400cc road classes which would be perfect for Micras to compete in!

My suspension is 50mm tarmac rally springs, 22mm whiteline front & rear antirollbars with polly bushes, Bilstein OE dampers, solid rose jointed lower rear trailing arms & Nismo bushed upper trailing arms with a adjustable panard rod

Matt humphris supplied the springs & ARB & panard rod and the bushes were from powerflex.

What do you get for your £46 Guy, free entrys? I've been in several motor clubs since '08 and that's all that's needed to enter most events, sprints and hillcimbs included. I have a nearly finished road rally spec micra but I will have done Autosolos and Autotests. Next month it enters Car Trials and possibly Easylarity rallys and maybe a Classic trial before Road rallys later in the year. I don't see why you need to fork out £46 for a membership card!
