Hesitation under full throttle.

Car has a hesitation when changing from 2nd to 3rd when accelerating at full throttle. I change gear at 7000rpm in 2nd, change to 3rd, revs drop to around 4000rpm thats when the slight hesitation starts. If I floor it starting in 3rd, no problems. Starvation of fuel maybe?

The car is a 1993 Super S

what sort of induction kit do you have rich ?

K&N, which bolts directly to the throttle body.

mine had a bad flatspot at mid revs when using a drainpipe and cone filter, (made worse in 3rd due to the gear ratios, i believe) using a smaller pipe improved it, but i found the GA16 airbox a far better option

Sounds like their is not enough airflow from the filter as it is bolted directly to the throttle body.

A volume of air after the filter and before the filter by using a length of tubing (alloy usually) should help.

That pipe will make no difference whatsoever, with all the hot air around the engine bay!

i thought k and n sold those sealed boxes you could use?
