Here we go again but its not mine its for my son...

Had it on the rolling road today to run it in and get it setup and it made 74bhp@wheels with 77 Lbs of turque, I am happy with that just see how it goes on sunday

gah its in better nick than my road K10 with twice as much power

you race on the steels? i thought they would be a bit heavy fwn

nice work

have you cut some of the arches away? just look bigger. is that an ma12 engine? have you got a flywheel figure for it?

Yes the arches are cut back,,,and the say flywheel figures are 20/25% higher then wheel figures so around 93bhp@ flywheel

nice to see it coming out of that corner infront

what do you do for suspension bob? a guy i sold a manifold to who did gras track stuff says he used to put loads of weight in the back, then get some chain and bolt it to the floor pan then under the rear axel and then up onto the floor pan, so when the weight was out of the back the rear end was lower and stiffer, not sure what he did with the fronts cant remember.

That would be so crude and not handle..I use protech coilovers shocks with 70lbs spring on the rear and avo adjustable shocks with 200lbs spring on the front

my thought exactly when he told me, how much you pay for your suspension then or do you keep re-using it from previous years?

Looks great, that purple is superb. just been looking at the pics on Zenfolio and I did wonder what happened to all the Vauxhall Novas, lol.
Wouldn't mind owning one of these and making it Road Legal.

Is there a K10 Motorsport Section? I know there is a K11 one.

It is a shame but this kind of sport is were most of the old classics end up like mk2 escorts/toyota starlets, mini's,etc:eek:

Hi bob,
I as an autograss racer of k10s myself in Ireland am very interested in this topic aswel,

I have to say its a gorgeous car and very well prepared, I especially like that you have went down the same route as me as you have the fuel tank and the battery box in underneath the bonnet, I just found it a tiny bit unusual that you put the battery box where the fuel tank usually would be because in my k10 i have the battery box on the complete opposite side as to where you have your fuel tank and i"m running a redtop 20 racing battery and my fuel tank is where you battery box is but thats only my opion,

when the tanks full it ways more than the battery does....not only that but its the only place i could fit the tank without buying a new one....

Awh rite.......I actually cut a petrol tank in half and made it half the size so itz really light and it just has enough petrol for about 2 full races
