Hello, Project K12.

Just thought i'd say hi, be rude not to. Even ruder not to add pic so heres a pic.

Its a 1.4 SX, keyless entry, leather heated seats, no sunroof, climate control etc enough of the boring stuff.

Have changed the wheels 15" x6j et38 (fits quite nice) and installed a simple Pioneer headunit 8" sub.
Also tinted windows.

Plans:
JDM mesh style grill
Coilovers

Thinking about:
Impul charger kit (charger + ecu) but cant seem to justify it being so costly and only giving extra 35ps. Hardly a hot hatch.
Shiney exhaust.

No doubt will be asking lots of questions. Here's the 1st are there any interchangeable parts for k12 and clio (not sure which mk) as read coilovers fit?

Anyone done an Impul charger kit in uk?

Thats all for now :)

Like mine u mean guy an if you do a search for k12 fk coilovers there prob best to go for other than that looking good matey an where abouts are you located ?

thanks guys :)

Dragon, any bigger pics of your k12? i was thinking bolting on arch flares and sticking some cherry blossom wheels on. can the FK coilovers go any lower? prob just slam it to the ground for now on these wheels.

im down south in somerset.

Hi mate if you check out my blog there should be more pictures of it on the coilys on there they will go slightly lower but certain speedbumps are a problem as is arch flares / extensions you will need at least a 7.5" wide wheel or some spacers to get the correct stance but the car looks good any pics of the cherry blossom wheels you mean ?

dont have ur wide arches pics on ur blog?
Ignore that above.. i thought you had over-fenders on lol but is just the shape of the micra nad light from your pic.

these bad boys..

Rota-Aleica-Pink.jpg

but not sure if suits the car much :/

1/2 lowered the car on coilovers but then couldnt undo a bolt on the fronts to replace them.

saw this a while ago but.. too much to fit and spray etc :(

its the anti-rollbar bolt i cant do. stuck a hex into the bolt then spanner to undoo but 'threaded' the hex fitting.
the other 2 bolts nr the hub were manageable.

even tried wire brush the bolt and lots of wd40 before trying the arb bolt but no joy.
off to garage tomorrow and see if they can sort it >.<
never a quick fix :(

if a mod sees this can they move to the project section please :) thanks

ah ok. thanks. need more research into k12's. ask me about rx7 (fc3S0 then i'll prob ns everything but k12 im clueless lol

guy, too late.. the hex internal drive part of the bolt is threaded already :(
but will keep in mind for next time. even the mechanic said wd40 >.<

properly lowered now.
coilovers on lowest setting and still not low enough.

either bigger wheels later on or take out the helper springs.

camber and exhaust needs doing tomorrow.

got 4 wheel alignment done after changing to coilovers.. handles much better now!.

strange getting looks from other modified car drivers.. (civics, vags etc) its only a micra lol

opinions pls..

16's is in proportion but sth about 17 is rather horney!
Not having these wheels, just idea for size.

anyone know if 7j et35 fronts and 8j et38 rears will be ok? i htink will be quite flush, not sure about poke.

16s

Width an offset sounds about right fella just watch your tyre sizes to avoid rubbing as for 16' or 17' it's down to prefrence but personally i love the look of 17's having had two sets fitted

de-badged the rear. not sure if remove the rear wiper or not.

de-badge the front. had holes hence stuck the MICRA from the rear to try and cover the holes.

then fren came round so can have a play on some 17s. nice size but need higher profile tyres.
think ideal wheel size would be 17 7j et38, 8j et38 with 185 55 fronts and 195 50 rears (just guessing on tyres)

418445_10150570228306825_509706824_9304832_1896944882_n.jpg

finally got a Blitz Bur spec back box fitted.
sounds alright but as theres no sound deadening in the k12 (in the boot.. or anywhere else for that fact) it resonates a bit.
so going to order some more sound deadening material to layer over the floor of the boot and wheel well.

pics to follow.

Tell me about it :D. I've completely stripped the rear seats out of mine, have a cat-back stainless zorst AND the boot is half open most of the time - it's quite loud! PARDON?

what did you say? cant hear you!! lol
have ordered some sound deadening stuff of flebay.

not much else to do now really, just try sort out the tunes to my likings, cant get right balance / volumes >.<

not too out of proportion due to the k12 having a bulky body.

next major thing i guess is prob go for 17s dish and properly fill the arches.
if i come across any factory front lips, side skirts and rear lip then will bolt on, other than that. will stay pretty much the same.

on a side note.. went to cashpoint today n this kid commented to his mates about it
"you seen that bad a$$ micra behind?"

quick Q dude, how low did you manage to get the coilovers?

see post #16
fronts can go lower if you take the helper springs out.
rears i'm using the oem rubber mounts and the adjuster (the rears have the height adj thing which is 2 rings. turn to change height. i used the bit where the spring touches the mount so essnetially using 1/2 of the mount supplied, sorry bad at expressing.) and also have bottom rubber mount to hold spring in place.
would need cutting to get rear lower.

thanks for the help mate. i keep looking at the picks of dashi and its just getting me stoked to finally get the car slammed. i've been literally on the verge of ordering some rims for the past few weeks. once i've got finances in order i'm hoping to get a few pics up on here. we've got to try and get a k12 feature in a magazine
