Heater issues

Hi folks I'm new here so I hope I am posting according to the rules.

I am Jan and we have a 1994 K11 Nissan Micra.
The car has served us well over the past 25years.
It is starting to show it's age though.

Usually I can sort the issues, but I have a problem now for which I have not found a solution.

For the local MOT the front heaterblower need to work.
Unfortunately that stopt working just a week before the local MOT check.

I have checked the fuse (15Amps) is ok, measured 12v going through the fuse.
Checked the Blower fuse print under the glove box....seems to be fine two.
Measured the pins in the connector for the blower speed settings which for some reason at least 4 have about 5v on them.

Question is now... is the blower speed switch broken? Is the blower itself broken? Or is it something else?

So my question to all of you is, how can I check what is broken / diagnose the issue?
Is there any way to by-pass the blower speed switch? All the MOT requires is that al least 1 speed setting works. If possible with the heating function, but this is not an local MOT requirement.

Anybody any ideas?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Jan

Sounds like it could be the resistor pack for the blower
Did you notice the blower only working on certain speeds before it stopped working?
