i would have thought a stock HG would be alright for low boost micras69, else i guess your looking at a copper one and "o" rings £:cool:£

fairplay ed :) aparently they direct the flow to the middle of the chamber as the piston nears tdc, i doubt they would have any noticable affect tho personally
 
Oh they do, very very much so. Its a very well developed area of the automotive engine. Critical in fact. Do some research on it, I think you'll be quite enlightened :)
 
the hemi-heads on the dragsters are dead smooth tho ed, :confused: surely its more relevent to emissions than power gain ?
 
Nope, Quench area generates turbulence to promove mixture. As the piston arrives at TDC, air exits this tight area and generates turbulence that makes the firefront expand better. :suspect:

My old 4.0L Jeep and the 5.9L v8 I'm preparing have huge quench areas (more than half the cylinder area) Talking about 76's engine, so no emissions.

No idea that mod will do. Certainly this is the smallest quench I've seen.
