Getting door handles off?

Hey. Want to colour code my doorhandles.

Is there an easy way to get them off, I want to spray them now but weather is rubbish so doing them on the car is a no go. I had the door card off but the bolts look well hidden and don't really want to dismantle the whole door I'll just wait till the weather comes back.

Can the hinge pin be taken out?

Easiest to undo the two bolts and the latch connector bit that slides into the handle (both are behind the door card). Really easy to do.

Hinge pin only comes out once the handles off the car, as theres no room.

O ok, yes I didn't really want to take them off that way looked like a lot of work. I might have a go at the week end. Cheers

so to get the handle off you have to go from the inside and its an easy job? as i need to swap one of mine with my old micra as the "new" micra has a cracked one.

Yes you have to take the door card off. Very easy job.

just if you take both off remember to either not shut the door or leave the window open so you can get in lol

Hey. I jumped in the deep end and took the handles off wasn't as bad as I thought. Getting pretty good at taking door cards off now. The handles should go back on soon.
