Gearbox noise

Got a 2001 1.0 k11 micra s

Has like a friction noise coming from gear box but I'm sure it remains even with clutch pushed down (will check again)

It's not very loud but is noticeable, can only describe it like the noise brakes make when pads start to wear. Low pitch rubbing kinda noise.

It kinda changes pitch/sound when i put slight sideways pressures on gearstick while in gear.

Hoping its low/old oil, Rather than thrust bearing etc.

How do I check gearbox oil level on this model, have seen a few posts for the preface lift.

Also what gearbox oil should i use for this model?

Thanks for now

Yours should have an oil level plug near the rad waldo, and the coilpack gearboxes have a crank sensor mount on the bellhousing

What does the plug look like and which side of the rad?

You think the crank sensor mount is making the noise frank ?

a square plug facing the rad mate, half way up the g/box, and i was just implying that its that type of g/box if you end up needing one :)

The only two plug type things I can see are hexagonal, bigger one on the side and to the bottom of the box and the smaller one in front half way up
