fuel rail question

Hi guys im wondering what a certain adjuster is for on my fuel rail and what the default position should be. Here is a generic pic off google

The canister valve type thing at right hand side, what is it? And its the black pronged adjuster on it that im wondering about, I accidentally adjusted it and want to set it back to where it was is it just an open/closed type deal or is it specific as to how open it should be?

The "canister" as you call ot is the FPR, the FRP is not adjustable AFAIK, its fixed at a rate!!

Fuel Pressure Regulator. Maintains a constant flow of fuel at a fixed rate to the injectors to run correct either in PSI or BAR,
