Fuel pressure mod

after grazing the forum for info I came across a reply by Frank regards squashing the end of the fuel rail with a socket to increase pressure.
My dilemma is this , what needs squashing and what benefits does the " squashing " produce ?? Many thanks as always

Unless you have a lot of other mods it will make no difference at all...

you squash the top down westy, that increases the pressure on the spring, and that raises the rail pressure, and that delivers more fuel
if your setup is underfueling then it can make a big difference
