front wipers

Hi
The front wipers are not stopping just going on and on.the wiper switch is at off position on the wiper stock.any advice would help.its 2003 micra

Remove both a pillars pull up and take off the top of the dash, on the passenger side you wil see a control unit at the bulkhead It says Johnson Controls on it. Thats the BCM, Body Control Module. Try unplugging and powering down, also undo batt neg terminal leave both disconnected half hour.
Hopefully will cure it.
Prob is nowadays Nissans use Can bus like other manufacturers:-

Wiper Stalk On Req Signal >> BCM >> IPDM >> Wiper motor
