Front Brakes and Pads

Pads are what do the work so if it was my choice I'd choose uprated pads over discs everytime.

Grooved drilled etc discs only help cooling and pad deglazing.

Its totally up to you but that set should be worth its money :)

Thanks :)

I don't want to downgrade my braking performance. I understand I'm in a 50hp Micra, but you learn to live with what you're used to.

Can you not grind the lip off? How thick is the disc itself?
Fairly thick imo, but I know nothing about brake discs. I was told I needed new discs.
The lip is quite noticeable both sides of the disc, maybe 1-2mm.

the lip wont really affect the braking performance scott, but bad scoring on the face will tho.
you used to be able to get pads that had a coating of abrasive on them (that cleaned the face of the disc on the 1st few miles)

I'll see if I have any pics that have the discs in and upload

I'll probably get the Brembo brake disc and pad combo for £50.

I'm a little concerned the pads will be cheap.
Might be worth me getting Brembo discs alone for less and some EBC Green Stuff pads again?
