Forest/ gravel springs?

pulled the sister in laws micra (1.4s) from her garage to use for grass auto tests and classic car trials what i'd like to do ( at minimal expense) is increase the ride height to improve the ground clearance for those nasty roots and lumps of rock! i suspect that something like a gravel rally spring (front and rear) would be most appropriate if so what and from where .. but on the other hand is something else useable.. did i mention minimal expense?

Not sure if springs would increase the ride height would certainly stiffen it up, what i have seen done is a spring insert put inside the exisitng spring never done it myself but would stiffen it up abit.

Is the car old enough for classic car trials?
Minimal expense is my mantra too - hence I did this

Rear - get more of the rubber rings which the fit between the spring and bodywork. Disconnect the bottom of the dampers - drop an extra one in the bottom spring cup.

Front - Purchase a pair of spring assisters - usually fitted to the rear springs of towcars and jam em in the front.
