Folding rear seats will not securely go back

Hi guys,

I have put my folding rear seats down recently, but cannot seem to get them to go back and STAY securely back. The two latches either side do not seem to be grabbing the bars they are supposed to and I can't figure out why. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you fix it?

there is a spring mechanism inside which may have dirt stopping it from moving properly, try spraying some wd40 and cleaning them with paper towels and then put clean grease on afterwards

Could also try tapping it lightly with a hammer incase it's because the things you pull to lower the seats are stuck
