Fog lights

So my 2008 micra ace ta didn't have any fog lights so I used a pair of a donor car and when I connected it and tested it they didnt work. I then checked all the fuses to make sure its not just a fuse it could possibly be the relay but I don't know where to get an exact one from. Also could it be that I don't have the switch on my stalk as it doesn't have the option for having one for auto.

The inner switch on the left stalk is for front fog lights and you have it, have a look here

The only thing I can think of is the relay if not I generally will get rid of my car because its causing me too much problems plus I do want to switch to a micra 1.5 diesel

Good choice, you wont go wrong with a low mileage diesel, they are so versatile, that why the engines are still in production!:)

CORRECTION: The inner switch on the left stalk is for the REAR fog light (give it a try) NOT the front ( I believe if the icon on the stalk is facing to the right it denotes the rear therefore if the icon is facing left it denotes the front) so the stalk you have DOESN'T have the switch for the front fogs, so if you've fitted the front fog lights there is no reason to believe if you got a stalk with correct inner switch then it seems likely your front fogs will magically work

When weather requires, you most likely switch on your rear fog light.
Easy solution, wire from rear fog light to relay, that switches on front fog light, when rear fog light is on ;)
