Flat spot under acceleration and almost cutting out

Hi guys after some advise. I occasionally get a flat spot under hard acceleration and engine seems to be holding back in general. Also when engine is cold if you blip the throttle the engine stutters and almost dies before picking back up again to normal idle. I've got some proper maf cleaner to try out but not got round to it yet. Engine seems to be running lean. I'm running a custom made intake with ramair cone filter behind battery, a oil catch can fitted between the pcv valve and intake and evap canister removed with the pipe blocked off. Had the issue for a while but seems to be getting worse. Any advise welcome

I have thought about that. But the induction kit has been on there a 2-3 years now. I'll try dig it out and give it a go

Maf failures are common and most of the time start with holding back/ flat spots.
Aftermarket MAF's are ****e so id suggest to try it with a known good maf.

Thanks. Thought that was the case. Am going to try cleaning mine first. Euro car parts sell them cant remember the make but they're £150. Are these still likely to be as bad?

Forgot I wrote this. I refitted my evap canister and removed the oil catch can and had the pcv go straight into my inlet and solved the problem. Is suspect there was a slight air leak around where I'd blocked off the canister pipe

I have a very similar issue. Rev it too hard and it will choke, ease the throttle on and it will get through the flat spot. Tried 2 different throttle body's and they are the same. Tried 2 different dizzys and leads also no change. However the air filter housing is off but I rave these without an air filter with no issues.

I want to save this one as it's in great condition
