Fast Idle Control Device (FICD) on Individual Throttle Bodies

Im currently beginning my project of installing a Individual throttle body (ITB)

I brough a Toyota 4A-GE (ITB) from Ebay (hong kong) the other day, which im going modifiy and fit on a cut manifold (i will write a blog on how i've done it and photograph it step by step if anyone is interested)

Ive figured out how i can get the Mass air flow sensor to work and the Throttle position sensor to also work

Its either because its early hours at the moment or most likely i have no idea

im not a 100% sure what the gerenal function of a fast idle control device, i believe its for starting, but im not too sure,

If its got any thing to do with temperature i know exactly how i'm going to install it

If anyone has got an answer on its function and purpose it would be highly appriciated. Thank you

we only have an idle control valve and a fast idle waxstat really (i run with neither :)) and you can run the stock idle control valve remotely if you want
