F/S Rear Strut Brace

Some good and some bad news...

Good: They are done and the paint is currently drying, they are looking pretty good (if i say it myself :D)

Bad: I was hoping to make them for £35 posted but iv realised this is somewhat unrealistic :( the postage is twice as much as a panhard rod (they are slightly longer but weigh less ) and to be honest are not much quicker to make than a panhard rod.
I have therefore got to put the price up to £45 posted (unpainted). I was really hoping to make these nice and cheap but postage is a killer! I used to use parcels2go.com but they not seem no cheaper than the post office now!
the cheapest postage i could find was £11.50, if anyone can find it cheaper i will happily lower the price! :) (they are 1.1Kg and 110x10x10cm)

Those who have paid a deposit (Mottymicra, micraPRO); Ill still do it for £35 posted because that is what was agreed but from now on they will have to be more expensive. Sorry

Put me down for one Ed I'll happily pay £45 :)
I only have painted ones for now Karl (£55 posted) but will happily make you an unpainted one when i finish uni (mid May).
Ed

I tend to paint any 'stock' i make because i dont think people are put off by paint but may be put off by the thought of painting it themselves.

Sorry noddie, was being a bit lazy, and didnt get a chance to clear out the boot before the pic!

Lola I thought these were out late may

signature...please ignore anything I say...when using my phone it is either bad grammar or rubbish spelling.

Received the rod today! Installed it as soon as I got home from work... Bit of a mare installing but lucky my dad had some specialist tooling and an angle grinder at hand! Love it, definately looks the mutts nutts!

Yeah, the nuts can be tough to get off and on eh? How did you clamp the shock shaft?
It looks like you have mounted it on top of the rubbers from the pic? I would consider removing them to get the brace more solid :) My plan over the summer is to make proper installation videos for the stuff i make, I just haven't got time at the momenet :)

Yep lol! Took a broken extension and ground a slot out that secure it and used my dads centre less socket set to do the nut! Was hard though lol. And yeah it's on the rubbers because otherwise it will float as my threads don't go down far enough. I need to get some washers and put those underneath.

Gotcha :)
Me and Nathan used the large washer type thing upside down under the brace and then a couple of thick washers between the nut and the brace :)
Maybe I'll offer an optional extra 'fitting kit' of washers, nuts and spring washers :)

I have updated the OP with basic fitting instructions, hope they help :D

I was told to speak to you about ordering an adjustable panhard rod, but by the sounds of it you are doing other things as well. Could you let me know how much the Panhard Rod will be and a rear strut brace. I am also interested if their are any pics of the front strut brace I have heard mentioned. Please could you give me time scales aswell.

Ok cool, do they make much of a difference on like a ''custom'' spring and shock setup? (cut)
They will make a difference if installed correctly (not with the rubber bush underneath). I will say however that they will not make as much difference as a welded in one between the towers. The reason i make these is i don't think most people want to/have the resources to weld one into their car.

If the demand is there i would happily made some weld in ones. possibly ones which bolt to a plate which is welded in, that way they are not quite so permanent if the owner wants to put something big in their boot.

Nice one :) Whats your price again? £45-50 painted?
