Exhaust tuning

I'm looking to get a full custom exhaust system built, 421 manifold then straight through to backbox, in 1 1/2" stainless tube. As I'm going to have a lot of input in the design, thought I'd best do it right

So, does anyone know the specifics of tuned length exhausts? I know the basics but not how to work out the required lengths of the headers and overall pipe. Also, 1 1/2" bore was a figure plucked from thin air as a rough guess, does anyone know whether it'll be too big/small?

i have a janspeed 4-2-1 manifold and a 2" stainless custom pipe to cobra sport backbox sounds really nice, and got rid of loads of back presure
