Engine stalling while idling

Hey I have problems with my Micra k11 1.0 from 1997. Sometimes when the engine is idling it will be very uneven and sometimes also stall. It seems to happen both when the engine is cold and warm. I have read in other threads that I could try to disconnect the MAF sensor, but I can't figure out which connector is the correct one. Can anyone help me with locating it?

Here are som pictures from the engine that might help.

the grey one in pics 1 and 3
more likely the idle control valve tho imo
the obd1 lead and freeware would take the guesswork out of diagnosing it

Hi
Is your's a coilpack or preface lift version?
I have been getting the same on my 2nd (non daily runner) preface lift Micra, as well. I'd be intrested to hear if you discover what it is.
Does your's smell a bit rich running when it's doing this bad idling stuff?

Mine is the pre facelift version with a 1.0 engine.
And yeah mine smell a bit rich when it has a bad idle. I have not yet discovered the problem, but pulling the MAF sensor out did nothing and made the car run worse when speeding up. I loosened the idle adjust screw 1/4 of a turn which seems to have increased the RPM when idling so it no longer stalls. But I still sometimes drop revs when idling.
I suspect it's some faulty sensor somewhere, but I have yet to check them all.
If you find out anything please keep me updated.

I have a feeling the MAF sensor on pre-facelift's is not withdrawable, it's on the board, behind the silver plate. Maybe has to be re-solded?

It could be the MAF board requires soldering. If I discover anything more, I'll let you know.
Yeah I heard about that as a possible fix aswell. I found a PDF online with instructions on how to do it. I will will try it out this weekend or the next if I get the time.

I did do it once on my current K11 (daily driver), but I used the wrong flux (accidentally picked up plumber flux), the fix worked for about a month, before the MAF board rotted!

I then replaced the whole throttle body, with a decent 2nd hand one & been fine since.

So I am now considering re solder option (with the correct flux), on my other K11, which has the idle issue.
