engine management light flashing/bad idle

Hi there,
I replaced some old corroded terminals in the fusebox today, no probs. But afterwards when I started the car the engine management light began to flash (whilst the engine was still running), and it sounded a bit uneven on idle/low revs. I switched the engine off then back on again, no engine management light and it idled/revved smoothly, took it for a whizz round the block and it ran sweet as ever. Should I be worried about this 1 off?

you should worry about it if it does it all the time. if lights gone off you should be ok.

ah right, so it wont log a fault or anything then?

if its a post 2000 with obd2 system then there should be a faultcode stored in the memory, and it will store it untill its been cleared, but if its pre 2000 obd1 i doubt if it will show a fault unless the fault is still there (ie, light flashing )

ah ok its a 97 so should be fine, racked up a fair few miles in it today wit hno problems, cheers buddy
