Engine maintenance light part2

Hi All, My mechanic came to see me as I asked him too do so & after checking the OBD 1 socket and doing the thin wire test via 6 to 7 connectors he told me that it showed code 55 which is no fault found!! But the engine light is still coming on when I have to wait at a junction or a laybay waiting for a gap in the traffic and if the car has been ticking over for a long time before I drive away. Any ideas ? My mechanic did say it could be that the throttle body has too much fuel in it, so the sensor believes it's a fault or maybe the fuel inlet value needs correcting as I don't think the throttle body has been touched for 20years or cleaned for that matter?

Throttlebody doesnt allow fuel in.. iT allows air in. IT also doesnt hold fuel. Its not a carb. Get a proper mechanic to check iT.

The soldering inside the throttlebody tends to crack. That could mess with stuff. But please get a proper mechanic to check the whole car And most of your issues should be solved.
