so the differences are the following

nats non nats
fuelpump 106 fuel pump 104
ign 12 ign 36
cam position 31 canm position 22
extra cam position
signal 40

so if you can swap the wires about you should be able to use a non nats ecu on a nats car

nah, there is some other stuff too, nats can be removed , however i still haven't had my new ecu's made up for the later type so its pointless.

i would be half tempted to try the ecu wiring loom from a non nats car, but its a bit of work.

before people rely on the above there is quite alot of missing/wrong info.

i haven't looked at this for sometime, if you want to add / correct ed please feel free, its done from a traces of the nissan wiring diagram

I dont have a NATS diagram so I am unable to be specific I'm afraid.

I wonder whats the difference with the Euro ECU's to JDM one's , the JDM ECU's looks a lot smaller in size. The post 98 models out of Japan have a different crank sensor for sure, have you guys checked the difference in the NATS and non NATS dizzy's ? so however you match the wiring the car is not going to start if the crank and cam signals are not in sync with the ECU.

wow a thread from the dead  all the ukdm dizzy,s are the same zakie, and GA ecu,s work on ours with an apparently different optical disc (with 4 very thin 2deg iirc slots positioned radially)

All CG engines except 2000 on have the same crank sensor.

I have wiring diagrams for both nats and non nats ecus (pre coilpack). if you want them then send me a pm with your email address and il send them to you(Y)

I know this is an old thread, but can anyone help with a later model? I have a CR14DE UK car with NATS, but want to use a JDM ecu without NATS.

Do you no the pinout for a k12 by any chance ??

This fix is for the micra with the key with the red chip in it, and the non-coilpack engine with the single distributor.

Get an early ecu (the oblong one, not a square one) that fits your engine (either cg10 or cg13).

On the engine loom (so on the plug to the ecu) switch over these wires:
switch pin 106 to pin 104
switch pin 12 to pin 36
switch pin 31 to pin 22
switch pin 40 to pin 30

After this your car will not have an immobiliser anymore but you can still use your old keys.

you can send some thanks to https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/willemjacobdijkstra => I've spent considerable time on this, but would like to share the knowledge (unlike some!)

P.S.
If you have an australian car, you can just plug in a non-immobilised ecu and it will just work!
