Drive computer

Hi

I just purchased my 04 SX off my dad but want to reset the drive computer e.g. get rid of all the old mpg stuff so I can see what i'm getting rather than what my dad was getting. Is there anyway to do this other than taking the lead out of the back as I can't be bothered to take all the dashboard off.

Hopefully the people who work for nissan might know??

how about unplugging the battery overnight??? this resets ECU's, so might work.. cant do any damage?

you just have to press trip computer then reset all to reset all previous stats, dont need a technician or pulling the plug mate.

thats worked. Cheers for that. Saved a lot of messing about. Now to see how poor my mpg will be

and for future use if your trip computer keeps flashing maintenance required, go into maintenance from the main menu, press ok for 10 sec then it will reset the service flash.
cos if you take your car to an independant garage for a service for example they wont reset the service reminder for you.
