dead ecu?

for some reason i cannot work out>
the car starts idles for 10 seconds then dies.
the light on the side isn't illuminating and tried the paper clip test with no luck :(

so could it be a dead ecu that isn't recognizing that the engine has started?

any tips, advice, and other peoples knowledge would be very helpful

the engine is from a 93 micra and was told that it was pre nats, fuel pump seems to be pumping fuel through fine and is priming as per norm.
did think i could be the fuel regulator but thats fine and changed all the sensors and they all work truely
so i am now led to believe its electrical at some point or a knackered ecu

that got replaced half a year ago and then done 700 miles on it before i bought the car
but you never know, things do go wrong so that getting checked tomorrow
and finally found someone thats willing to do a diagnostics on the car as its old alot of people are refussing to!
