No mx5 conversion yet I just want to use it and enjoy the engine I built. I'll probably start the mx5 conversion at end of summer, depends on whether oi still have to do involuntary, compulsory 20hours overtime per week for free, on top of a 60hour week
just cannot figure out whether or not this new engine setup is quicker than the old. Can a heavy ass flywheel and clutch with longer ratio gears really have the feel that its cancelled out the fact i have ported head, cams, more compression and less vacuum leaks lol. i guess so
so my engine smokes quite bad. if you engine brake and then get on WOT it smokes like hell. Im guessing the vacuum is drawing oil past the stem seals or up past the rings. It also appears to excessive crankcase pressure.
So gonna grab my spare engine and chuck hi-comp pistons in that i have sat in the shed. Then save for new cams and add megasquirt that i already have
