Cup holders

WE have a 2000 K11 Micra so I assume its a face lift?
Can I fit cup holders?
If so how and what vehicle to I salvage them from?

You can get universal ones that fit in the dash vents . A JDM centre console cup holder might fit a facelift .

the facelift dash doesn't have the dip that the pre has, not to mention it WILL end up costing more than my option

This has got me thinking... I might try and knock together a wire holder at work on monday, bend up some filler wire to the correct shape, TIG it together on a ridiculously low amps setting and think of a way to fix it to the dash...

You forgot to remind me :p

Meh, gave it a go, needs thinner filler wire to do joints and less amps. Some skill would be good too...

Gunna look for somehwere to fix it, but this one is going in the bin probs, it's a random size and was just to work out whats the best way to make it, I think I got a more asthetically pleasing and solid way to do the welds figured out so might do a proper one tomorrow with measurements off a maccy d's cup.

Could this be the cup holder challenge?
I am off to the scrappy next week to see what I can bodge, I keep looking at the rear of the handbrake and thinking what no cup holder

Hello!

I too am looking for a cheap way to get a cupholder :p

I was thinking I could purchase a cheap and cheerful cupholder like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d4281a8cd which is made to clip to the airvents, but I thought as I don't use the ash tray in my 1998 1.0 model, could somehow mount this in the little bit of space between the ashtrap and gear shift?

I've purchased one anyway and I've got to wait a few weeks for it to arrive it seems, but any idea on how I could get this to work?

I like trying to make things look as stock as possible, as if they were installed by manufacturer, so I'll probably get a nice matte black finish on it, but any ideas how I can fit this and have it looking nice? XD

Yep I'm out, anything over £40 is a waste of money
Make me feel good why don't ya LOL
Went on the jdm March site, couldn't see one, so I thought what the hell.
Anyways, didn't win the auction - went for £51, ah well, always another day.
