coca cola gear knob

up and wondered about a coke theam after she had seen a coke bottle gear knob in a fast car mag which I liked but wanted a mini coke can one instead so finaly after my rambling any ideas how I can do it, ive thought of drilling the bottem some how fixing a nut to it (although I think they are made out of ally) but just dosent seem strong enough so any ideas thanks

fill it with expanding foam the fix a nut into that ? not sure how strong expanding foam is either but would presume its kinda tough ?

Nah not expanding foam, try a 2 part wood/body filler or speak to markbognor as he done it before

Indeed I did.

I filled the can (with the bottom removed) with epoxy resin then drilled and tapped tapped that. The links to the old blogs seem to be dead at the moment, but the same content can be found here, about half way down the page.
