Clutch pedal issues. Cable or more serious?

'95 k11.

Over the last few days, my bite point has been getting lower and lower. It is now at the point where the bite is about 1cm from the bottom of pedal travel.

when i release the pedal (after bite, so car in gear) the pedal only comes back up about halfway and i have to put my foot under it to encourage it to pop back up.

I have a feeling there is something wrong with the cable somewhere but no idea where to start looking. Any ideas?

I had my clutch changed recently so i know that the clutch itself isnt at fault.

hmmm, broken thrust bearing fork maybe ? you could unhook the cable and check the arm is working ok ?

Turns out the little bush behind the bite point adjuster was perishing, explaining the slow decline in pedal feel. Ive tighted it back up now, but may have to replace it.

Any idea if i can get the bush on its own, or will i need a whole new cable?

Have you checked the pedal return spring?
