Clutch Cable - advice please

Hi all

I was trying to adjust the clutch cable on our trusty micra the other day when I ran out of adjustment (only just, the clutch works just great). I replaced the clutch on the car myself and it has done few miles since so I suspect the cable which is old is a bit stretched but here is the question......

I seem to remember that there are two different types of clutch cable for the K11 Micra and that the change in type occured around 1998/1999 (our car is a early 1999 micra equation 1.0 litre engined car).

Can anyone confirm whether my thinking is correct and if so then please let me know which type of clutch cable I need on my car. I seem to remember that the difference in the two cables was in the length

if its run out of thread but not slipping ? i would just fit a washer or spacer behind the rubber on the g/box tom
