Cigarette Lighter

My poverty spec micra didn't come with a Cigarette light...wouldn't mind one for electrical gadgetry. Anyone done an install? Where's the nearest fused positive?

I'd check to see if the wiring isn't already there it's normally tucked behind the carpet

I have an original lighter socket to fit on mine. I'll have a look and see if I have a connector already. Yours is a preface though, so it may be different. If you're not sure than run a positive straight from the battery with an inline fuse.

My micra's the one in the description...the pic is a preface! Got it sorted though, was tucked way down the back of the headunit!

Installed mine yesterday too. The hardest part was getting the socket into the hole in the fascia.

I didn't use an OEM one, looks factory though. Mine had a back that screwed off to allow the socket to come forward out of the fascia.

Need a few more bits now haha. Did yours come with Fogs?

No but all the wiring was there. All I needed were the fogs, a relay, stalk with fog switch and some loom to split the power to both lamps.
