Cigarette Lighter...

hi

has anyone else had any problems trying to use a phone charger or any other device in the K10 cigarette lighter.

I cannot get any accessories to work in it but the cigarette lighter warms up so it works?

any help?

mines always been ok, pull off the rubber knobs on the heater switches and then pull out the facia panel, check the connections on the back of the cig tube....

I've found that sometimes you have to position the plug for whatever device at a various angles to get them to work, as they wobble about in the K10. Any other car they're a snug fit. I had two cigarette lighter sockets in my car and they both had this problem.

Another thing, make sure they're free of dust and other crap that might have built up inside them, as this would stop them from working too.

Yeah mines the same as above, did find it was a bit corroded on the inside too.
Turned ignition off and sprayed some carb cleaner in then some wd40, wipe out excess.

got it!

Mine i have just found was corroded too, i took out the front panel and took the cigg lighter appart and wire brushed the contacts and works great now
