Charlie

Swapped the panhard rods over, stock one will do for the mot

Whilst under the car looked for serious rust but there doesn't look like any to me but it really does need a clean and undersealing job sooner rather than later

Also swapped the rear springs for some lowering ones, although I still need to do the fronts

yeah, it doesn't look that bad, i would brush everything clean, spray primer and underseal fresh :)

Fingers crossed my handbrake light continues to behave itself, think it was a loose connection on the bulb

Spats need a second coat but that'll have to wait for dry weather :(

Mot work is done (or at least I think it is)

Swapped the front suspension and now I'm a little more level and the creaking noise has gone :)

Feeling better about the car, made a start on the splitters

Got some over spray and ran out of paint

It's always the little jobs that end up getting put off

ever since I swapped the drivers door it's sagged and I've put up with it, it's always annoyed me but I just couldn't be bothered to do anything about it.. until today.

When I swapped the doors I kept the original hinges because they were good no movement in them.. so cue the music... and no more sagging only had to swap the top hinge as that one had a lot of play in it, not going to go into mass detail but by only swapping the one hinge I was able to do it with the door and wing in situ

It's on but I'm not happy with how it's sitting as I've had to rush the fitting

Well I've developed a new noise and this one I don't like, sounds like something is rubbing/scrapping at the front offside corner

I know I've said this more times than I wish to count bit once jae is done and the prim is back on the road Charlie WILL be up for sale, once sold the Prim will be for sale to... time to move on

Talking of moving on, over the past week I developed a scrapping/rubbing noise.

Took it to a garage near work, they couldn't hear it or find what the cause could be.

Had another look today and it looks like the disc is slightly warped made worse after use if the brakes (heat expansion)

So pending payment and collection I sold the rs5's which means I'll be rocking the br's again, unfortunately I've not been able to get them refurb'd due to them being sat on an astra

Ok so wheels were clean (ish), now on Charlie as I sold the RS5's

Since the last update I've fitted the front nismo splitter, just waiting on some industrial double sided tape for the spats and rear splitter (this was done a week ago)

Starting a new job next week and won't be needing a car so Charlie will most likely end up back in the garage for quite some time
