Changing steering wheel/seats - airbag issues?

Does anyone here have any experience of changing their steering wheel or seats?

Most specifically I wonder how you overcame any issues with the airbags going "missing" and the dash light coming on, which I assume would be an MOT fail as well as an annoyance.

Search for a member called "Rik" I think it was, he removed his entire interior, not just seats lol

He also removed his A/C and used a shorter belt on the engine to give more power etc.

Airbag light on or pretensioners disarmed/used arent MOT failures (Although they are trying to make airbag lights part of the test, gits!)

If you remove the airbag and control unit you could just take the bulb out the dash, or stick some tape over it! LOL!

Isn't there a few pins in the drivers airbag plug that can be connected to make the car believe it still has it's airbag?

So, let's try and save a few quid. The black wire is clearly an earth. The white plug might go into the loom where the airbag came out. The thing inside the heatshrink tube is a esistor of an unknown value which can be replacd with a rotary one and played with until it works properly. The question is, where do the two exposed pins go?
